Our eSIM carries data only. Your home SIM should stay switched on for calls and SMS — that is where your bank codes arrive.
The setup you want
- Home SIM: line on, mobile data off, data roaming off. Calls and SMS still work; nothing bills you for data.
- ThirdSIM eSIM: line on, data roaming on, set as the default mobile-data line.
iPhone
Settings → Mobile Data. Set Mobile Data to the ThirdSIM line, and turn Allow Mobile Data Switching off so the phone never falls back to your home line for data.
Android
Settings → Network & internet → SIMs. Pick the ThirdSIM line for Mobile data, and leave the home line enabled for calls and SMS.
A warning
Leaving the home SIM’s data roaming on is the classic way to come home to a bill. Turn it off before you fly, not after you land.
